FFS, I've had the task of going out and getting 'throws' today.

Ok, I've bought them from the lovely Dunelm but what the eff am I supposed to do with them?

I've tried to co-ordinate with our room colours but I just haven't got a clue how to put them on 2 leather suites. IMO, they will slip off anyway.

I don't get it.

I just can't imagine, perhaps you should address the question to whoever sent you out to buy them.

Just why? I could never understand them....you buy a sofa that you think looks nice then cover the damn thing in a carpet!:evil:

They will slip off leather-I have the same trouble. I use mine to either put on the seat bit of the settee to protect it from Millie's claws or to cuddle up in infront of the telly when its cold:laugh:

Phil, Wigsie...behave:evil:

I have on occasion been known to do that but there we have another story for another place;)

And Wigsie.....what are you trying to suggest about Kitty and I???? We are very good girls and remember, you are one of us now, mwaaahaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa:evil:

Where have you gone Snaps? ;)

I reckon she put the throw over the sofa, sat down, slipped off and is now in A&E with a knacked back. Either that or she got the wrong colour and has been sent to bed without any supper.

Throws were originally used as an arty-farty device by tv 'bodge-it, staple-it, magnolia paint-it (with a splash of purple somewhere) make over prats. They are not intended to be used (for sitting on). Simply throw them over the item of furniture ... and bask in the warm glow of arty interior design .

I've been through this nonsense. All you can do with them is fold them up like a blanket until they are about 3 foot by 2 foot and then use them as feetwarmers while you are watching telly. Otherwise their only other use is to suffocate people who write articles on interiors.
