There's a chance I can get a Sun (Worksop) frame & forks in rough cosmetic condition but with cranks and bars/brakes. Might this be a worthwhile restoration project? By worthwhile I don't mean monetarily, I just fancy the idea of keeping an old bike going, I mean is it a decent frame and did it/will it ride nice?

I've never restored a bike before so will probably be back on looking for tips and other info as I'd like to get it looking as original as possible.

I only saw the frame briefly and can't recall seeing a model name on it. There's a decal on the seat tube that looks like it refers to a "Tour of Mexico". I'll try to get some pictures of it soon.

Seat tube decal was on a lot of their Carlton built frames. Any images?

Sadly, no.

It's in a flat my cousin is about to rent and the spare room is full of junk, this frame included, destined for the skip. I expressed an interest in saving it from that fate and now the landlady wants to keep it as "it might be valuable".
