Afternoons!!

As suggested a few weeks ago, I'm doing a ride from Stevenage railway station on Sunday May 15th and 22nd.
Meet at the station (by the ticket barriers) at 0946. That's nicely in time for the 0923 Fast train from Kings Cross.
The 0906 Slow train from Kings Cross gets in a few minutes earlier, and that'll be handy if you're coming from Potters Bar, Hatfield, Welwyn etc.

I'm aiming for 20-25 miles at a easy, conversational pace, with a stop for bacon rolls, Tea and cakes carbo-loading. Different routes each time, and if the demand is there we could make this a regular thing.

Straight after Brighton and Swansea! Make sure there are no rogue photographers on the prowl, Doc!

I'm afraid I was up for the 22nd however I've had to pick one weekend in May that I'm not off on a long bike ride and that's the one.

If there's any similar rides in the future I'll definitely try to make it.

I'll tailor it to what people turn up on, within reason.
If you're on a fixie we won't go up Preston Hill.
Would you be OK with the climb to Old Knebworth - from the Roebuck up to the Lytton Arms?
Gives me an idea of possible routes...

Looking possibly at the 15th..

22nd I might be abroad...

Keep us informed please...

Not much to keep you informed about, Sapper.
It'll be 20-25 miles, easy pace and cakes / bacon rolls.
No-one gets dropped and the route gets sorted on the day.

That should be fine. I just about made it up the hill from the south end of Mardley hill up to the A1 bridge. Had bulging eye balls by the top but got up it all the same.

Tea Green golf club is a good place for food so too is the golf club near Sacombe for future rides.

Anyone who's on a 'bent and doesn't fancy lugging it up the stairs, shall we see you at the bottom of the ramp that leads into the Leisure Park? Gives you the chance to grab a Maccie D while you wait.
Or you could ride up the ramp!!!
