It’s not early by forum standards, I mean I’ve already walked the hounds and SG is probably on his 2nd cafe stop

Recce of next race and probably the pub is today

Morning all. Was hoping for a lie in but OH left her wkday alarm on. 😡 Not impressed. Hopefully drift off again in a bit. Off to see my Auntie today as not seen her since before covid, bless her she's 102 yrs old. Last of the oldies, technically I think she's classed as a great Aunt. Day of airing the tents and sleeping bags as well. Sunny morning to boot so far from the looks of it.

Bjr. Friends arriving later - all checked in at BRS for flight to Geneva, and hiring a car from there. Cooling the house down before operation Close Everything... at mo it's 23.9C indoors and 18.8C outside. Will do some cooking ready while everything is open ready for microwaving this evening.

Morning
Just about to brew up second coffee before I get ready to go out on todays club run. It’s one of those what do you wear mornings, cool now but supposed to get hot.

Chicken dish cooked, so just rice to do later. Drinking coffee now (obvs) before finishing the (handwashed) laundry (I haven't got a washing machine here) and going for a pre-lunch ride, before more house stuff before guests arrive, and maybe a siesta. Forecast 34C max today, warmer tomorrow. Hazy skies.

After acclimatising to France, you ought to wear a long-arm base layer and tell everyone else how cool it is.

After a 3 hour fight with the weather yesterday, it's sunny and still here today. Last week's storm made some gardening decisions for us, so might be addressing the fall out from that.
Coffee already inhaled.

It's gone 9am so that's OK for Sunday. Nice 'n' warm here, topping out at 25C later and out for a ride with a mate later this morning.

Like I wish. Never even completed the marathon I was training for in my late 20s, turned ankle and wrecked ligaments 3 weeks beforehand.

Anyroads it is dry and sunny-ish roon these pairts so will Do Some Stuff.

Afternoon folks,
hope everyone is as well as can be expected given our advancing decrepitude. To answer Pinno’s question from last time i popped in, I’ve been moderately busy between work and family. New job is going well given it’s a very difficult time across the industry. We’ve picked up distribution for a couple of new suppliers, more in the pipeline. Old place is going to hell in a handcart faster than expected. I think that’s over 50 people laid off now. Unfortunately I would have been one of the last out so I’m very glad I jumped when I had the opportunity.
Family life is good, lads got a flat with his girlfriend up north, close to SunGod country I suspect.
Most of my riding has been on the old steel roadie preparing for the Eroica in a couple of months. Yesterday I discovered how Challenge tyres got their name, sore thumbs today. Don’t trust myself with repairing tubs yet.
