Sweex 100k USB webcam

Never one to chuck out old stuff, my daughter's old webcam surfaced last week and I said I'd see if there was a Windows 7 driver for it. Haven't found one yet. She has a friend who's moving away with work and they want to keep in touch by webcam.

Long shot, but does anyone have one of these and has found a driver for it / other way of using it under Windows 7?

If not, is it time for dad to fork out for a new webcam? (Suggestions welcome!).

Stick it where the sun doesn't shine (i.e your wheelie bin ) as there is no driver support post XP,
no forum entries on getting it to work post xp and no indication what chipset it uses which might have
led to some generic drivers.

I'm expecting this will be the outcome, Ian. Worth a try asking though.

Daughter would have been just as happy with the old one if I could have got it working, but I suppose getting a new one with a mic built in may be the way to go and save one more trailing cable. I don't suppose she'll argue if I'm paying!
