As some may recall around 3 and half months ago i was hit by a car whilst on my bike.
I didn't have any injures so the costs to the insurer was only just over £300.
They were notified within 3 weeks of the RTA of the costs.
Ongoing e-mails and telephone calls, chasing them with whats going on. The driver hasn't accepted anything or responded to any of the letters.
Last week it was the last straw and it had gone on long enough. I rang them up and spoke to someone at swiftcover, they hadn't even reviewed the RTA yet and i asked him if he could get it done asap. he said he would start it today. I said that it had gone on long enough and you haven't even started, i said that i would ring back the next day, and if it wasn't done i will be taking court action to claim my money back, this would also include legal fee's. He said and i quote "That's fine"
As soon as i got off the phone i e-mailed his line manger (had his address from previous e-mail contact) saying that his guy was extremely unhelpful but said if it wasn't done by tomorrow then it was "fine" for me to take legal action against your company.
I got a response back from his line manager pretty sharpish saying they were sending out the check that day!
RESULT. got the check in my hand now and paying it in tomorrow
