It's a 1987 Record rear mech.....similar to the classic 1986 version which had completely filled in jockey cage....and engraved winged wheel logo rather than printed signature.

You can spot Lightweights a mile off due to the rather distinctive hubs.

T-Mobile are using Zipp wheels though they are supposed to be using Shimano.

Well it would appear Lightweight hubs cannot be spotted a mile off....at least not by me...and they were indeed Lightweights .....hopefully people will assume they must be those of the team's sponsor..Shimano!! :?:

If the wheel hadn't done that and absorbed some of the impact, I reckon the rider would have come out of it a lot worse. Not sure about the daft hound - it could have internal injuries after that. Labradors are notoriously silly creatures. One ran out in front of me on my commute home on Wednesday - I managed to swerve, and the car behind me only narrowly avoided hitting it!
