..my hybrid commuter was stolen last night, so the time has come to crack out the road bike. Bit nervous as I've not used it during the Winter - just hope I can remember to clip in and out without coming a cropper - wish me luck!

Ride my road bike all the time in the colder months (apart from when icy), no issues- pretty mild in London. Sorry to hear about your hybrid, but hope you enjoy clocking up a few scalps now you're on the speed machine!

i'm sure you will be ok, i have only just started riding in earnest again after 20 years.....and on a road bike.....and clipped in for the first time ever.....if i can do it anyone can.....dont think the roads are too bad up here so bound to be better weather wise down south

Well I got to work in one piece, was just a lot more cautious about dodging in and out of stationary traffic than I would have been on my hybrid.

Just got to get home now :-)
