its crazy out there, I think its almost viral, the idiocy seems to spread. The cops need to start cracking down and start taking peoples licenses and not giving them back.

The idiots are winning. When I don't cycle, I ride a Vespa and part of my journey is up London's Mile End Road. Absolutely horrific driving in that part of town - overtaking on the left is very common. More worrying is the amount of red light jumping by cars - something far more widespread than when I first started mixing it in the traffic a decade ago - it almost seems acceptable behaviour. Tailgaiting is the norm on the Bow flyover. I've had cars literally five feet from my back wheel. I was once behind a car that was being driven so badly that I followed it to Morrison's to have a look at the driver. 8 people got out of this saloon - four of whom were in the back seat, and four in the front - including a woman sat on the drivers lap.

I was going to start a very similar topic. My commute is a rural one on reasonably good NSL A and B roads. Perfectly safe for NSL and faster.

Due to current domestic commitments I am having to use the car rather than cycle and I have come to realise how much I have come to dislike driving this route. Too many ****wits who take a mile to accelerate to a meagre 40 mph and then stick there holding me up.

I want to be back on the bike holding them up as a bit of revenge instead.
