ITV4 has lost free transmission rights to show the TdF as from 2026.
Again, money talks and we will have to subscribe to a pay channel to watch it in 2026.
What a shame as I enjoyed Boulting and Millar as commentators.
I won't watch anything with that cheat of Lance Armstrong in it.

It is already being discussed over in this thread.

(Yes - bad news!)

You don't have to, if you can find a legal way to view a channel from one of the countries that still have free-to-air coverage. My satellite dish picks up Eurosport in German.

I hope that WB will put evening highlights on one of their free UK channels as basically subscriber recruitment, like they do with the Giro and Vuelta, but the shows haven't been a patch on itv so far and I'll miss Imlach, Rendell and Friebe as well as Boulting and Millar. And WB might not feel that they need to bother with free highlights now their biggest rival has been cut back so far.

Highlights wise there are several YouTube channels that have footage of the day's stage. Of varying quality and (lack of) length and may not all be to everyone's taste. Lanterne Rouge, the Tour's own channel. Chris Horner I think too.

Fook! I only dip into cycling sport for the annual TdF circus and then only the highlights. I (and my youngest son) will sorely miss free terrestrial broadcast of the show (but not enough to subscribe!)......

Of couse theres the possibility that some of the ITV4 lot might join Eurosport. I do note however Gary Imlach will be 65 and might decide to retire.

Isn't it his company that does the program ? So I think it's less likely that he'll work for someone else.

Used to be Brian Venner's company. Don't think Gary owns it but I could be wrong. He used to present other sports on Channel 4, including NFL.

I'm sure someone said it was his show? Ned on his podcast or stage show? Oh well. Fingers crossed for some kind of deal happening.
