looking around wanting to find some new pads as my wearing thin normally would book bike in and have it doen with a service but the bike is far from needing a service and with the weather turning wana up the breaking potential so how do i tell if a set of pads will fit/be compatible with my Tektro R540?

been looking at these salmons as they get great praise here and other site on the net

The second ones are for V-brakes... you dont want them!

The first link are the ones to have.

Cartridge replacements are usually a standard size so they will fit. Did your R540's come with cartridge holders (mine did but that was 3 years ago) because if not you will need to get some holders too.
