Nothing. Nothing happened at all. It's been dull, dull, dull.

Absolutely no-one rioted at all.

We are the best cricketers in the world.

Wanna buy a telly? Got it cheap, no warranty though.

I think the underclass went late night shopping and those tossers who screw our pensions by short selling shares had a bit of a party, but other than that nothing.

Are you sure you didn't take a wrong turning and ended up in Great Yakmouth, Mongolia? The lack of English speakers on the streets would probably have fooled you into thinking you were still in Britain.

We've just spent a week camping - only 20 miles from home, (my friend has no car so had to be local so her mum could drop her, 4 kids & all the camping stuff off in 2 trips!)
But we could have been a million miles from anywhere, no TV, a little radio in the car when I used it to charge my phone each morning, so glad we were away Don't could have stood the doom, gloom & horror on the news!

Riots, looting, burning - part of summer time, but how can going to see the Chuckle Bros be considered normal behaviour?

It's people like you, not keeping up with current affairs on an hourly basis, who are responsible for the loose morals and increasing crime rate in our once great country.

:smile:and welcome back.

It's alright for you, but I've been in Northern England with Mme HF and now I'm having to rearrange return travel so as to arrive in St. Pancras station to go direct to Eurostar and not have to walk along riot-torn Euston Road.

We had a power cut last night for about 3 hours from 8pm. It was great- candle light and transistor radio. Tea from a camping stove. Great view of the stars without any streetlights. In fact I was really disappointed when the lights came back on again!

Switch off the mains every night GW.... save a fortune!

Except I suppose the candles, butane gas and batteries would probably cost more than the electricity + release more CO2 without the power cut... sounded so romantic at first!
