I shouldn't have crowed on here about my feeling good at the weekend.

I've now got shingles.

Ive scarred my inner forearm where i had them last time, i look like a drug addict ...they were like mini volcanoe's, hurt like hell when they flare up, 5 minutes later it's passed.
Horrid stuff to get. My sympathies.

I had Shingles once, never again (hopefully). It was like having broken ribs and then being punched in the chest every time I needed a breath.

I managed to wheel it down to Postman for him to drool over - and he did.

I feel like I've been slapped across the back with a hosepipe.

I'm taking antivirals. I thought that I was getting a dose of cellulitis in my back/shoulder chest overnight amongst other things including torn intercostal muscles, angina and chronic acid reflux. I was frightened I can tell you.

I got them as a student... but only on my side- lad at school got them on his face and one eyelid- that hurt. Mine was a mild case, like a constant chilled feeling even when wrapped up. Hope it's a mild case Vern and you're soon better. Shingles seem to flare up if you're feeing run-down after an illness, so not a complete surprise as you'll still be getting back up to speed.

Had them in 2001, brought on by stress following a showdown with a particularly twattish editor. Not nice, and mine was only a mild attack. Sympathies mate.

I've just had to put on a couple of extra layers to warm up and I'm contemplating putting on some gloves just like yesterday. I hope that it's a mild dose. Mine run from mid spine around my side and under my left nipple. I know that they can be excruciating but hey - I've had chronic cellulitis - I know about excruciating.

Can you get shingles from caressing a B17 saddle ? How can something so beautiful (no not you Vernon) carry such a hideous virus.It's leather so i might catch mad cows disease.

Poor Vernon! A boyfriend many moons ago had shingles on one half of his face - it made him very interesting looking afterwards . Hope postman doesn't succumb!

I've just had to dig out my Tramadol stash to relieve the pain that has just woken me up.

I lost so much weight after my operation.That my strength ebbed away.The Doc prescribed pills but i could not get the lid off the bottle------I'll get my coat.


Right can't mess about on here,got to test my heart rate.I have a shower room to clean a bathroom to clean and a staircase to hoover.i hope i get to the staircase.
