I know this should be easy, it's an "official" phone, on a very expensive contract, with all the extra tethering fees paid, but it just doesn't work.
The phone will tether to any other pc, but I just can't seem to get it on the Acer (it's running Windows 7)

according to the instructions, I just plug it in and select "iphone" from the list of networks.
Well, iphone never appears in any list...

Any ideas? (must be computer numpty friendly ones :wacko:)

Microsoft obviously didn't listen to you when making Windows 7. *dig at their advert*

Thanks gaz, it wasn't that though.
As I say, I pay a vast amount of money to O2 to officially tether it so I shouldn't need third party software to do it.

The problem was that although I have iTunes installed on the laptop, it's tied in to my Wifes phone.
I foolishly assumed that paying vast amounts of money to O2 for the privilege of tethering would actually allow me to do that but, no, I also have to tie my phone in to the laptop at the expense of my last remaining license, even though I'm not allowed to sync my purchases to it...

God bless Apple and O2

Still, at least I can sync now and use the laptop when we're away xx(
