I have, but thankfully it's all been fairly mundane stuff: nothing too embarrassing.
Unlike a colleague of mine. Let's call him Carl, since that's his name.
Carl and his girlfriend went on separate holidays (he went on a bird spotting holiday - so you can understand why she didn't go with him) and on the first night on the hotel, he composed a romantic message to her:- "The bed is too big without you."
.....and sent it off to his work Area Manager instead.
And he never realised until she (the AM) ribbed him mercilessly at work the week after.
Once you hit that send button, you can't suck it back!

Turned around the other week on a club run on my own and rode home straight into a headwind , On the way home i picked up a struggling cyclist told him to sit behind me and he could have a rest until i get home , then he would be on his own, all innocent as you can see.

Sent a text to one of the fellow club member to warn him about the serious homeward headwind and also pointing out also that i'd picked up a stranger and taken him home.

Yep I sent that to the wrong person, who happened to be a work colleague , Monday morning in work was vicious and relentless

The only sort of thing I've done like this is I once sent a text message to my brother that was about him. Luckily what I was saying wasn't too bad. I was thinking of him as I wrote it, which meant I automatically selected his name from my contact book.

Work wise, we use a company wide instant messaging system and plenty of people have sent messages to the wrong people, and posted stuff in the group chat room that they've regretted. My favourite was when I sat on a round table with the accounts team. One lady, one gent. The lady had a habit of talking non-stop about her relationship with her partner. Us sending covert messages to each other was the only way of staying sane.

One day she started off about something he'd done the night before, and he went to send me the message... "oh god, she's at it again".... only he sent it straight to her.

When she suddenly stopped mid-sentence and said "who is at it again?" he brilliantly kept calm, looked up and said "oh, xyz, I can hear her moaning about that customer again".

Oscar winning performance, I probably would have just said "s**t!" as soon as I realised what I'd done

Luckily they moved the accounts team and I now sit with marketing......
