So recently Southampton city council completed a "large" cycle survey of the people who cycled on a particular day around Southampton.
It may be entirely coincidental but as I was cycling to the gym after work today I had noticed that they had completely re-tarmaced one stretch of the Avenue which is one of the main roads into Southampton. However they had only done the left hand side / gutter side of the road which in stretches was terrible to ride on.
Like I say it might be a coincidence but today as I cycled down that glorious new tarmac happily cruising at 30 with barely a judder I let out a whoop of joy and two thumbs up to the council. It's easy to knock them at times but I wanted to thank for a job well done and the continued improvements they make
