... having no bar-ends.

fitted new lock-on grips onto my commuter but these are wider than standard grips so rather then move the brakes in further, I left the bar ends off.

felt a bit strange riding in having to keep hand on the grips and no bar-ends, espacially as been using the bike for over 12 years !!?

will see how it pans out..

I find it really bizarre riding a bike with no bar ends now. I only have stubbies but they make the riding position much more ergonomic for me. Having not ridden a modern road bike I can't comment on the comparison between riding drops (on the hoods) and riding a flat bar with bar ends but I can see the reason behind the bar geometry.
