Lets start with a simple introduction

I first met Tizzy at a local bike shop after a week of scouting around

Needless to say it was love at first sight lol

Much much later after countless adventures (and mis-adventures) it was time for me to venture off the roads, and i got myself Ms Pinky.

Hi steve..

They're both ladies bicycles and are gender specific so they come in rather feminine colours. Tizzy is BH Cristal Pro Series and Ms Pinky is Polygon Cleo 2.0 but don't be fooled lol. I'm actually not a 'pinky' type of person at all and hv a tendency towards roughing it out. I got Ms Pinky for a good price as a used bike and hv plans of changing her to either army green OR matt black as well as modying her for short touring excursions. yup.. one day, and soon I hope

Me, i'm near the city of Kuala Lumpur. hv u been this way before?

Tiffa.

Tizzy & me after we did our 1st duathlon event, Powerman Sprint Malaysia, last October.

Hi Justiffa, so you're from Malaysia? A beautiful country, I've had a few holidays there and once visited KL. We went to Penang a few times and I'd great fun with a local mtb club there, riding to all sorts of places like Mt Erskine, Air Itam, Tiger Hill, and even up Penang Hill. That one nearly killed me!

P.S. Selamat datang!

My ride yesterday was fun.

Pinky Wildflower.jpg

It was my 1st off road excursion with Ms Pinky. about 25km of hilly terrain, mostly dirt roads made muddy by the rainy season.

And while i was there i was again reminded about the choices that are constantly thrown at us, in this case whether its people-powered or horse-powered vehicle lol

Hi Tiffa,

I have not been before but my nephew has just been to Malaysia. He stayed in KL for a while and then went on to Indonesia before returning to Malaysia for a while. I hooked him up with someone from Warmshowers.com

My collegue in Denmark is from Malacca and is back there for 5 weeks on holiday at the moment.

Malaysia is on my places to go list. What is it like for cycling?

Morning Steve :sun:

Cycling in malaysia is on the rise but public awareness especially on the roads still leaves a lot to be desired. cyclists hv to be extra vigilant when using the roads. here where i live, we are lucky enough to hv a 10km bicycle track build for the community…. but we're also fighting for bicycle lanes to be incorporated into the regular roads (to date i think only penang has bicycle lanes).

The cycling community is pretty well spread out and interest are also varied…. there are the weekend warriors who let off steam through jamborees & races, those who prefer longer rides through group outings to chosen destinations and also those who prefer to explore the country by touring.

Check out this link… this guy has put up quite an informative write up

Nice pics Justiffa.
I lived in Singapore in the 60s, but I was only a child so I don't remember much, just from family pics. But we used to go to Malaya for holidays sometimes.
