All joy at this time of year got beaten out of life for me years ago. The odd night out on the weekends is the only respite. Otherwise, too much time spent at work with too many idiots. Once a year is too often. Even the last Christmas I actually enjoyed (thanks to a certain lady) got spoilt in hindsight (when I got dumped).
