The benefits of a wet January

I have had many fine pints of ale, which have brought me great pleasure. I have also drunk quite a lot of wine - ditto - and on saturday we went round to friends for dinner, and I had a large G&T before, some bubbly, a nice Rioja with the meal and a Laphroig for afters. Try doing that when you're dry!

I got absolutely paralytic on a bottle of Laphroig about 10 years ago and ever since the slightest whiff of a peaty malt turns my stomach...

I adore peaty malts, but lummy do they make yer feel bad if taken after beer and wine. Always feels worth it at the time though!

Sounds like a good excuse to it would be best just to stick to the Laphroig and forgo the beer and wine!
