Next Friday I'm catching the train to Edinburgh, riding to Melrose for the Book Festival where I shall be going to hear Bella Bathurst speak - presumably on her book.
On Saturday / Sunday I shall ride home.
Has anyone else read The Bicycle Book? Am I alone in thinking it's not very good? I'm now halfway through and feel the author understands the essence of cycling but has failed to develop the book. I'm not sure what I expected but now find myself scan reading (I usually read every word) to finish it out of a sense that I should before hearing the author speak.
