Had an interesting chat yesterday at West Bridgford farmers' market with a couple of Brompton riders, she had a cornflower blue one, he had a lacquered raw finish one which really caught my eye. Turned out he'd recently returned from an epic Paris to Gibraltar ride, retracing the route of a couple of Nottingham lads in 1895.
Chapeau to you, Julian; the furthest I've ridden mine is about 30 miles, and nowadays it mostly does the short run to Lidl and back! More details on his FB page. Now I'll be looking out for a copy of the book which inspired him and his mate Paul.
