I came across this (courtesy Memory-Map). A UK-based blog/webzine about cycle touring. There's an account by Tim I've-forgotten-his-name-already (author of French Revolutions) about a family cycle trip across Sardinia.

Early days - could be an interesting project or a damp squib.

EDIT: including the link would have been a good idea;

Good stuff. Cycle touring in the grand manner has been sidelined by campaigning/commuting and semi-racing. Anything that puts it in the spotlight is a Good Thing.

Yep I've come across this site - its a funny read - jokey delivery on cycling across Sardinia with his wife and kids - have now tucked into his book "French Revolutions" about cycling the Tour De France - half way through - great stuff for an amateur cyclist like me - makes me want to try it. He only practised with a couple of Spinning classes!
