Fab, I live at the top of one of Sheffields biggest hills and arrive home sweaty and purple - My neighbour often comments that he thinks its about time the council installed an esculator for me!

Read about this a while ago and despite what you might think if its getting more people on bikes, good stuff. Says its being going 15 years so must be popular?

Was talk about installing cable cars many years ago. One of the many things in the history of these things that never happened!

Man up, Widcombe's not too bad, used to hurt me far more racing down them. (Oh and what years where you at Bath, 00-04 here)

02-07 for me - used to ride up North Road mainly, legs permitting!

One year I lived in Kingsway (above Oldfield park) and would ride 5 flat miles through Odd Down and Combe down.

did anybody notice that the escalator went into oncoming traffic. Perhaps they should do that with cycle lanes might make drivers think twice if they had to look into your eyes before they mowed you down
