Nice piece of work. The Falklands acts as a great barometer of the position of the political leaders in Argentina. If it's all going tits up then play the Malvinas card. Absolutely despicable, you wouldn't catch our PM trying to distract the press and voters away from his poor record.... oh, hang on....

Meanwhile did anyone else notice on Radio 3 this morning, after the news headlines including a piece about the Sun's reply to Argentina, they played Horacio Salgán's A fuego lento? I hope it was a coincidence and no one at Radio 3 is developing a sense of humour.

My brother was in the Royal Marines and fought for the Falkands, he lost good mates there, just for the lads who lost their lives there we should never hand them over.

Me too - but it WAS to kick 'em back out!! Silly wonkers never learn!

Weren't they having UN talks about it while actually invading?

in that case, we had talks about it 30 years ago and they did something stupid during the talks, so we're done talking?

<chuckle> The Argentinian leadership only bring it up to distract the population from their own domestic issues, not an uncommon political tactic for any Nation's politicians to be fair.

Nice to learn a bit more history all the same.
