Used to read that back in the 1990s. It was one of the few paranormal magazines that would sometimes take a sceptical line. For example on Nessy and Area 51. They never seemed to take themselves too seriously back then, either. The ads in the back were amazing... one of the books was called something like "How to have sex with an alien".

I have fond memories of it and the escapism it brought

Before it went mass-market Fortean Times was always a grand mixture of the fascinating and insane. Now, it's mostly just glossy populist tat.
