If you want to discuss The good old days, by all means start a thread and post some text for discussion, but please don't start threads that simply point back to your own forums.

By all means become involved in chatting with everyone on CycleChat but as I don't encourage or participate in any form of poaching or marketing on other people's forums, I'd politely ask that you don't try to do it here please.

Sorry i just thought the conversation might interest a few people.

The question that was being talked about was our first bike - i was just interested to know what people had.

Mine (well the first new one I had that wasn't cobbled together with bits from the neighbours old bikes) was a Raleigh racer.

Don't know what model, but I've got a picture of me and my mate Brendon proudly posing with our new bikes we got for Christmas.

Think I was about 10 or 11 - judging by the funky striped polo neck jumpers we are wearing ....
