I don't normally bother with the National but Mrs SJ wanted a few quid on that one as she has recently had an eye operation and thought it might be an omen. I intended to put mine on Alex Fergie's nag as I figured the bastard owed me one after beating us last week but they were handing out special Grand National slips in Corals and I ticked the same box on both forms, Doh!
Racing isn't cruel, the horses love it and they are treated like kings.

I think I heard about Vic Venturi as it was brought down by another horse about 5 fences in.
Mine (Royal Rosa) did the whole distance and still didn't get a single mention. I had to wait for the full card about 10 mins after the race to get the position.I'm far to used to watching cycling/athletics where the full result comes up immediately
