It's now past midnight in the UK and the disco is closed! In the spirit of the original post (and since the whole thread was inspired by me!), I should declare a smackdown winner There were some great songs - Crackle how can you diss 'Geno'? Waterboys. Associates. And Bow-wow-wow-wow-wow-wow! Mmm... maybe that had more of an influence on my tastes than I realised at the time!

My contribution of Classix Nouveaux had to have come close. But the out-and-out cheesy 80s disco winner has to be Ottawan. Hands Up! Jeez that took me back to the back of the school bus...
