What do you think of The Independent's 50 best bikes selection? Not a bad list IMO. Doesn't include the Edinburgh Coop's Revolution Courier, or the Airnimal Chameleon, and is a bit skewed towards fixies, but it includes a few of my favourites.

Is there a list of the 50 or page after page of each bike? My internet is very slow at the moment and it'll take me all night to click on page after page...

One page on each, which is a bit painful.

They do seem to be a bit pricey, as well, with the MTBs and road bikes starting at £1500. I guess that's kind of the territory, though, but I was hoping to see something which might be achievable rather than a list of aspirations.

Edited to add the above was posted before I'd finished the list. Once you get into the 30s, there's plenty of more affordable bikes.

That said, though, and after posting earlier that I didn't want a fixie, I rather like the look of the SE Draft Lite, which is "only" £300.
