I was just coming up to the crossroads round the corner from my house, I looked at the cars waiting to turn right into the road I was on, got about level with the front of the BMW 4 by 4 at the front of the que when she decided to turn straight across my path, put the brakes on and managed to slide round the front of her my trainer actually rubbed her front bumper.
I left her shaking with shock and not daring to look at me, although she did hear my one word shout, then I realised I had my invisibility cloak on, I was obviously too small at 6ft 1 on a tall hybrid for her to notice, the florescent jacket and bag must have dazzled the poor woman .
The lady in the car behind had her head in her hands, think she expected mashed cyclist

Glad you're alright. Do you employ the loud yell method?

I had a similar close call with a fool on a bluetooth headset for his mobile. He was so engaged in his conversation on his mobile that he didn't stop for the stop sign and cut me off (I guess you'd say that he "gut me up"). I locked my brakes up came within inches of his rear bumper and as the DIs said when I was in basic, reached down, grabbed a pair and called out "hey."

The look on old boy's face was priceless as he's looking around to try and figure out what he did wrong. Hopefully also checking his rearview and seeing me "sitting on his 'ass'" helped to wake him up.

When are people going to learn that talking on a mobile regardless if it's "glued to their ear," or with a bluetooth headset, or being rerouted through their car sound system is dangerous. And no phone conversation is worth their or someone elses life.

I tend to wear my "Invisibilty Cloak" in the supermarkets, shops, post offices, banks, restaurants & pubs etc which ain't too bad compared to being out on the roads. I think we all have a heightened sense of anticipation, maybe through experience, when confronted with situations like the one you described. Mostly we can take evasive action to help prevent anything serious happening, however, this is not always the case, unfortunately. Sounds like your reflexes are in good working order.

Will she learn from it?

You can bet top dollar that she doesn't learn a God damn thing from it.

Will she do it again?

You can bet top dollar that she will.
