I just found this link on a.n.other cycling forum. Turn the soundtrack up loud, sit back and watch 13 minutes of descending heaven...

Blind bends, rocks in the road, bits of tree hanging over the racing line, potholes, cattle grids, damp patches and potentially oncoming vehicles - yikes!

I like the big grin on Leipheimer's face when the rider with the camera comes alongside him at the end!

The fact that they know there isn't much traffic on that road is probably why they feel safe to descend that way, but there were some vehicles at the side of the road halfway down. Risky!

I'm a fine one to talk - I once did a fast descent on a twisty turny road through some local woods and almost ended up with my head up a horse's bum after a blind bend!

An excellent video indeed - thanks for posting it.

I'm not sure it is quite so on-the-edge as the camera suggests, though - such footage always accentuates apparent risks and the feeling of being on the edge or at the mercy of unseen dangers (because there is minimal sensory feedback just watching it), but I find it always feels fine when you're the rider actually doing this sort of thing, and they clearly have things well under control. Enormous fun, and skilful, nonetheless.

Looks good but I'm on a carp connection at my hotel In Lagos so can't see it. Or I could if I had the patience and an hour to spare!
