The joy of owning a printer

If you just want black and white, you could do a lot worse than get a Samsung SCX 3405W laser printer/copier/scanner. I think they cost about £90. Unlike inkjets, it doesn't spent all its time thinking about printing, making strange chattering noises. It just does it. The first page of text is out of the machine ten seconds after you turn it on.

One day, all the stuff I clicked onto to print is going to actually arrive at the printer and I'm going to have to chop down 5 acres of Finland to print it all!!

I have a samsung mono laser printer, it's fab and has printed out not only all the teens homework, past papers etc, but all my HND coursework, without missing a beat!
We also have a separate colour photo printer/copier (HP) and it's a blooming' pain as well as expensive to run!

We've got a HP c309 photos smart printer scanner thingy. It's wifi and works well with all the devices. Ink is a bit dear, but it will accept refilled stuff. We were recently given my sisters epson r300 printer which is good, but the copy inks are seriously cheap. The epson stuff is robbery. That is used as a spare just I case we run out of ink when homework is due in.

A black laser printer, if I wanted to print in colour I would get my mum or in laws to print. So much more reliable than any inkjet I have ever owned including a very expensive epsom.

I have an HP C4480 and once again it is pants.

Like all of it's predecesors I have owned before it, from several manufacturers, this one has a mind of its own. Nothing lines up, the thing doesn't detect cartridges...then it does...then it doesn't....each time I switch it on it demands I print of a test page, which it can,t print because it's pants. If and when it finally does print anything it prints reams of blank pages first.

Oh and I haven't even mentioned the rip off cartridge prices yet...

Bah....life is to short....now where is my pen and paper....no wait out of paper 'cos the dam printer chewed it up.

Mine only prints if it gets turned on before the computer. Why my printer thinks it has the right to be so demanding, I have no idea.

Samsung CLP-320 colour laser for me.
Had some good Epson inkjets in the past, but never used them enough for them to stay reliable.
I'd had enough of cheaper HP printers at work. For me the small stuff is squiffy, but the big stuff is fine.
