The Next Two Weeks

The forecast for the next two weeks is very mild days/nights with rain/strong winds now and then.

Could be completely wrong but several have the same prediction.

Might consider changing back to normal tyres for a while.

If you have an option for something a little more p*n8tr! proof I'd use it. All sorts of stuff that should have been swept away over the last couple of months will be migrating to the gutters.

They are probably right. In the weeks before Xmas when I was comuting in freezing conditions, down to -11 one day, I was suffering a bit with cold hands, I only had one pair of thin gloves. For Xmas someone brought me a nice pair of woolly thermal gloves, so far its not been cold enough to use them and I wouldn't be surprised if it continued that way, sod law comes to mind.

SNOW DELUGES, BLIZZARDS & THUNDERSNOW

(probably in two waves) and drifting snow

especially in South and East on a biting Easterly

wind. Travel chaos on road, rail and air. Too cold

for road salt to work in many places

And this for 28th to 31st January.....

HEAVY snow deluges, thundersnow, blizzards
and drifting powder snow through Scotland,
much of Ireland , Wales & England on biting
Northerly wind. Travel chaos on road, rail and air.
Too cold for road salt to work in many places.

Sounds like fun!

Very good, looking at the weather posted on here I'm thinking I might turn out to be wrong about this.

Due to getting a new job and being on long shifts for training to start with I doubt I will be able to get on the bike at all, so the weather will be unseasonally warm and dry. However, when I do get time to go out I expect to see Noah banging some planks together...

Rode in on the M+'s this morning after swapping them for the M Winters, apart from being a little easier they are very quiet, although it is amazing what you get used to.
