So you just had to ride up there to make sure.......... 
Just to a farm.
I was trying to find a way through the lanes to Staveley as there are still some bridges out following Storm Desmond, I guess the farmer had got fed up of people asking for directions!

There are a few of those around here. They used to go somewhere, then they were changed for some.reason. Even the glyndwr way has been changed because of locals I think.

Whilst driving around the Brecon's on Saturday we were following the SatNav & pulled up for a drink, a horse & rider came past & the rider asked would we mind passing slowly when we caught her up. When we set off down the road we got about 1/4 mile & came across a gate which had 2 signs one of a motorcycle with a red cross through it & another with a car with a cross through it. There was also another sign advising that it was illegal to drive on common land, yet the road continued, we couldn't work out whether it meant that you could pass the gate but only drive on the road as we intended or whether you couldn't pass at all. Reading up on the Powys council website didn't give any clarification, so we retreated & went a different way. So that was also another road to nowhere, Maybe.
