Is it as simple as dark glasses, beard, moustache (possibly as a one piece), vaguely shaggy hair? Have just seen jeff lynne (i was never a great fan) on bbc glastonbury coverage. He looks just the same as I remember him as a youngster during the 70s.

Yes, i was never a fan. May be technically talented, but pretty much most things i heard from him had a plastic feel/sound to me.

I thought that. Sat trying to work out if someone had done a good job with a bit of dye, but the beard and stubble would have been rather difficult I think. I have a sneaking suspicion without the glasses he'd have looked older. They would have been very good for hiding a few wrinkles

I am no musician............cant play any instrument or sing 2 notes in tune. I really liked ELOs music. I found it refreshing & different to what was around. I also thought & think Jeff Lynne is very talented (bear in mind my first comment ).
I noticed a "best of ELO" cd has just been released for £10.00 and will be buying it. If anyone wants me to rip them a copy I will do it..........for only £9.50.
