'The Tunnel' - Sabotage. Building ID help please!

Morning all...

I'm following series two of 'The Tunnel' at the moment. I really enjoyed the Scandinavian 'The Bridge' series, and 'The Tunnel' is essentially a remake.

Anyhow, I digress.

Does anyone know where, or what the tower block is which features in the second series? The one which looks like an office/residential tower block, but the top floor is circular with large windows, a bit like a giant control tower? (It's the terrorists 'hideout').

I've tried googling for locations, but they're mostly a bit vague and I'm trying to pinpoint this tower because architecturally I find it quite interesting!

Most of series 2 of The Tunnel was filmed around Folkestone,Dover and Deal. I kept bumping into the film crew last summer.

Series 1 was essentially a remake of The Bridge and personally i thought was dire but series 2 has developed really well. Its good and if you have Sky the whole of series 2 is on there as i have watched it though the ending is a bit rushed. I look forward to series 3

I've tried the IMBD and Wiki, but they don't specifically mention the tower as far as I can see. They mention the police stations - for example the French one is actually in Sandwich, and Wasserman's apartment is in a former Pfizer building, but I'll be jiggered if I can see anything about the tower...

It sounds like the Westwood Cross shopping centre, there are a number of buildings that suit this description, but not that tall

I don't think there's been a long shot of it, but it looks like the sort of thing that would be around maybe 10 stories? It's essentially a square, concrete building, but with a wedding cake circular top floor, bit like the top of the BT tower or a huge air traffic control room...

Looks like quite a few more stories than the 10 I mentioned - I would imagine it's French rather than British.

You'll never guess how I found out what and where the tower is...

I watched the last bit of the Giro into Dunkerque yesterday afternoon. When they did the long helicopter shots, lo and behold, my tower was in the bloody background!

It is the Tour de Reuze - a bit of googling tells me that it is an apartment block of 25 floors and is 88 metres tall with the antenna. She sits near the marina, and I just find the building curiously engaging.

Here are couple of pics, for those of you who were waiting with bated breath to see if I found it...

I'm going to visit her when I'm next in France! Love it...
