2 pun**ures this morning... TWO! In a nasty part of town, first one right outside where some dude was shot last year (remember seeing the bullet holes in the side of the pub). Needless to say I was in a slight rush when swapping out my tube! Schoolboy error was for me to somehow leave a tyre lever inside the tyre and not notice  Thought it looked a bit weird when I re-inflated it and set off again. By the time I had got to Blackfriars bridge it was flat again (seperate pun**ure on the new tube). I didn't discover the tyre lever until I had no choice but to lug the wheel into the office and investigate (as my spare tube was also flat now). Went 2 months without getting a flat on the new bike then 2 in 1 morning... gutted

I feel your pain! I've had two punctures in as many days. I think its time to replace my Nimbus tyres. Having had them for almost a year now, been cycling daily through london *and* having done a LEJOG with them, they're riddled with large puncture marks from all the sharp objects I've ridden over, and the tread is getting worn. First set of punctures since I got them though, so thats not bad.

Amazingly I didn't notice the clunk until it started to deflate (after pun**ure number 2 happened)... this was right at the apex of Blackfriars Bridge. Maaan, I feel so stupid ;)

When your under duress and your trying to go fast..

These things happen esp. when your right outside a shooting locality !!!!!

I know the feeling.

I had 2 punctures this morning aswell !!

Felt the back go flat, replaced tube, also made stupid mistake of leaving the retaining nut thing on the valve inside the tyre. Went to set off and front was going down  . At this point i abandoned the commute and had a wobbly ride home.

Was only thinking on the way home last night how good these Marathons are, 4000 p free miles this year.

Just checked and both appear to be ok, bit nervous about the morning though.

... on a happier note - this morning I got my PB on the trip in. and NO pun**ures! Front wheel seems to have a minature buckle in it now though. Probably due to the unsavory tyre lever incident
