Christmas has broken me, I was dripping wet and sounded like a pug going for a brisk stroll by time I got to Uni. My legs were on fire and I genuinely felt as if I was going to vomit (though thats probably due to the cold I've got). Que for a SMIDSY or 3 in the currymile. Finally got into the bike lane next to whitworth park, got off my bike, had a little temper tantrum and told it I hate it

Do you guys get them days?

I may cut the commute short to get home quicker but certainly don't hate it.
Like Touche, cycling rather then the bus (or train) everytime.

No, just down. Pick yourself up & dust yourself down. Accept that you are recovering from an illness and ride accordingly. There is no need to push yourself each time you get on a bike. Take the time to enjoy whatever is around you, even if it is the sound of the rain on the tarmac.

My choice is: car - £10 (traffic jam), train - £6 (no space), bus £5 (always wierdo's from Hudds/Mirfield/Dewsbury) or bike £0(poss. wet).

Bike's winning at least 4 times out of 5 each week.

The worst thing is when the weather is shoot and you get a puncture and you're cutting it fine to get to a school meeting in time and you know your other half will give you hell because you'll get there late and will curse you for not setting off earlier and will bang on and on and on about why you ever bought a bike in the first place and what a complete waste of time and money it is. Apparently.

Sounds like you had a tough tuesday

I managed to burst both my tubes today due to being pushed into a bloody pothole (cheers for that Mr bus driver ) Luckily I was only half a mile from home so I just took it back and got on the bus.
I was actually pretty upset about it, I wanted to get on the bike so much today! The weather was top notch.

I guess Im just a bit of a mood swinging cyclist.
