Thermarest Evolite?

Hi all,

Has anybody used the new Thermarest Evolite sleeping mat, if so what are your impressions? (I did see a couple of posts in older threads mentioning this mat, but no opinions/reviews yet...)

Watching this with interest as im currently looking to buy a new self inflating mat for this summers tour.

Any recommendations would be useful.

It looks good - but with these matressy sort of pads - have they solved all the durability and delaminaton issues that I seem to read about all the while?

Regarding "issues" - I have a Thermarest "prolite" mat, bought in 2005, used each year for probably 3 weeks on average. With that kind of use, it is still going strong, no punctures and I don't see any delaminations (I am hoping that Evolite will be more comfortable, though).

(With "issues" it is like with news - if all's ok and works, that's no news/no issue, so you mostly hear/read about problems, not about stuff that works.)

Mr Hop's old well-used thermarest delaminated. He sent it back to see if it was fixable. They sent him a new one.
