I cycled to Chelmsford along cycle route one, it was quite a nice ride. Didn't hang around in Chelmsford for too long though before making the return journey.

Its happened before, in Leeds a cyclist ended up in the canal and was rescued by a passer-by and whilst in the water, knocked out someone nicked his bike.

I think it was worse than that. The cyclist died. The thief took the bike while the cyclist was in the water.

The thief claimed that he thought that the bike owner was dead. He got four months for theft.

But what also annoyed me was how many people commented on the cost of the bike.... It was his money to spend as he wished and how many of the people commenting spend large amounts on their hobbies say £1000 fishing rods and reels, £1000 premiership season tickets or even clubbing at £5 a pint and £20 entry every week.... I don't slag off other peoples hobbies each to their own, but it seems cyclists have to put up with abuse
