We got an email at work today (also sent to 12,000 colleagues) asking us to complete a survey about bullying and harassment, run by independent KPMG on their website

Well at first the survey didn't work properly, asking you to fill out every question one by one.

Then they "fixed" it.

Except instead of fixing it they made it so everyone could view the submitted responses to date. Which obviously contained quite personal and identifiable stories of bullying.

I'm thinking this is the most incompetent thing I have seen at work, and I have seen some bloody incompetent things along the way...

That's bad. We get Staff surveys, and if you filled it in, what Department/location, a few of us could be easily identified, and this is in a 3000 plus staff population.

We will see what their response is. They did reply to say it was probably "test responses" I was seeing. I wrote back pointing out it must have been a pretty dedicated tester to write paragraphs and paragraphs of quite specific allegations with plenty of NHS jargon thrown in. Before you even get into the security of a database that can vomit back test responses anyway.
