Pick a TV programme and if you look hard enough you'll find someone who died because of something related to the theme.
Well, that was my point.

Running an ad for Top Gear on the day Princess Di died? That would have been thoughtless. Checking the contents of every promo-section on every regional station to make sure that someone who wasn't personally affected might be offended? I think that's a lot to ask.

No thank you. It was bearable when it was about the cars but it soon became a poor entertainment show. How many shows didn't they get "pulled over" by the local plod. Dumbing down in a nutshell.

A few years ago, I fell getting out of the bath and dislocated my shoulder.
I hobbled downstairs in some distress, only to discover my partner was watching Doctor Who.
The one with the Battle of Canary Wharf, Daleks fighting Cybermen and all that.
One scene showed the river, full of water just like the stuff that caused my injury and pain.
The insensitive bastards!

Even worse, after watching Nigella's cookery programs I can't look at cakes without getting an erection.
Which is awkward on cafe stops, because lycra isn't as concealing as all that.
