Thought's on this bike please??

Can I get some thought's on this bike please! Thinking of purchasing it. But am not an expert. I'm planning and training for a charity bike ride from Blackpool to London is this bike suitable? Or do you have any suggestion's on bike's? All replies welcomed :-) Thanks! James

You really cannot bitch at that price with a Sora STI groupset, deep rim wheels etc.
Looks a v nice steed for the price
Only a 18 speed but Def worth it methinks for a starter.

Noticed that it says "Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months" it may be an ok bike bit you may not get it until the new year.

Triban 3 from Decathlon? It's receiving great reviews on here and the web in general.

I wonder why they say 1 to 2 months till dispatch.

Otherwise it looks a good deal.

59cm only, quite a big frame

I'd go for the Triban 3 or look for second hand

Unfortunately, I don't think you'll get it at all, I've just checked on the Viking trade site and the San Remo isn't even listed anymore.

My guess at that price it was a clearance deal with Amazon, because that Amazon price is lower than wholesale on a bike of that spec

I could be wrong, but I know that most of the Viking range is due to be revamped

Thanks!! I will have to have a look the Triban 3! I have read up that it's not the best for long distances though?? Is this true? It seem's like this is the best affordable bike though. Any other's that I could take a look at?

Triban is fine for long distances. I did 105 miles on mine with no problems or discomfort whatsoever. Some people don't rate the stock saddle and change it. I never tried it as I am a fan of Brooks B17's. Apart from having swapped the saddle , fitted SPD pedals and bottle cages my Triban was stock.
