Thule is a premium brand and usually more expensive, there will be no definitive answer as it is down to personal opinion. Some people can easily afford to spend 3x the money on something that does the same or very similar job. Just look at buying bikes....

I've got a Thule 9503 and think it's most excellent, solid on the car, holds the bikes very well, swivels down so we can open the estate boot... Love it.

Well I bought the Witter ZX300, spent about 3 hours putting it together in the office.

This morning I tried for two hours to get it mounted on to my motorhome tow ball. It just wouldn't work! Every time I put the third bike on it kept falling down the ball.

Took it off and went back to my old American carrier with foam between the bikes for now!

Anyone had any problems like this?

I have a Thule tow bar mounted 9403 sit on 3 bike carrier and it is excellent. I chose it because it is fairly light and by the time I have 3 bikes on the back I must be close to my max tow ball weight of 75kg... If you're mounting behind a motor home that shouldn't be an issue....
www.roofbox.co.uk have what look like some interesting and reasonably priced alternatives such as the Buzz range.......and take a look in their "bargain bin" for some seriously good prices!

Thanks for the information. I did look at them as well.

I have no issue with the cost within reason, I just want it to work.

There is no issue with weight behind my 7 ton American RV. I have been looking for one that will go between the RV and my Land Rover which has a swan neck tow hitch.

Hopefully the factory will have an answer, or I will be getting my money back.

Best regards

Chris
