Dull as ditch water again. Supposed to be a wet breeze a comin' this weekend.

Much overcastness in the central belt although the mild stillness makes me feel like I'll regret it if I don't get out.

Dull and grey down in Kentshire as well, but mild and dry so that's decent communting weather for me. Now refuelling in the office with scotch egg and mediocre coffee, but at least it's free. Must plan a holiday soon as its getting dark enough to think about skiing.

You can remind yourself everyday on R4 (though I personally don't).
My mother swore by the shipping forecast as an accurate prediction of weather. Her radio alarm (remember them?) was set to come on along with 'sailing by'. This she would listen to and then sleep on till whatever o'clock.

Our alarm goes off and I listen to the shipping forecast slipping in and out of sleep...

My half brother was meant to be sailing in the 1979 Fastnet Race. Luckily he had tonsilitis and had to call it off. The boat he was going to sail in took on water but luckily made it back to harbour.
