Clear blue skies in the capital city today.
Today's task will be to try and sort out a repair for my car which ran out of electricity on the A1 yesterday.
Somehow managed to strongarm it in into a closed layby after the wipers, lights, power steering and brake servo shut down on me (radio went too). AA lent me a battery to get me to my local garage (which was closed). Has all the hallmarks of a failed alternator which is frustrating as the existing one is about 18 months old.
Coffee 1 in a likely series of many has been consumed.

A frosty one here at -1.6 so I suspect yet more black ice given it rained a bit last night. Survived Pilates which was a surprise as I was expecting to get cramp. Arthritic shoulders lived up to their reputation.
Will be walking Bertie shortly before seeing how cold the garage is, then deciding what form of exercise I can tolerate in there.

Sheet ice everywhere on the way to the gym this morning, managed to avoid any slips trips or falls but hurt my knee doing lunges.
Exercise really IS bad for you.
WFW today, a few meetings tomorrow with added gym.
May dig out my workbench and wax some skis over the weekend of theres nothing else to do.

Hopefully something else.....cheaper than an alternator. Sadly, the belt is intact. Previous alternator was supplied by a 'good guy' contact of the AA bod who picked me up from the depth of smogsville so I pretty much had a gun to my head; zero comeback.
