Off to a small family festival for the weekend tomorrow so will probably potter about gathering stuff together.
My camping chairs haven't been dispatched yet so need to find some from argos etc. Not that I'm camping, sod that.

Morning Folks,

Good evening out in town last night, and feeling pretty good despite that. Somehow bumped into one of our advisors (who's actually a good bloke) and he bought a round so not complaining.

Anyhow, today is my Friday and am taking a few Fridays off between now and the bank holiday to chill out and do stuff I want to do. CBA to go away in the school holidays. The summer lull seems to be here work-wise as well.

Just remember to remove all metal objects that you might have on you...

Yeah, I've removed my 20lbs Nipple Chains and 8lbs PA piercings..

Any morning folks, run up to shutdown and a major project changeover is starting, so looks like my Friday will be changed to Saturdays rather than the usual Thursday for a couple of weeks. Just wish they'd left us in peace a bit earlier than they have. Doing XC TT race with the gravel bike tonight, should be interesting. Looks like summers over just as the kids finish.

Work snizzle in full flow, thankfully managed to get to a local ish branch so the commute home is easier. Haven’t seen the family since Sunday, so out running with a pal when I get back

You would be very bored for 8 months a year.

The prodigiously tall cake from the café there could entertain me for weeks, but you're correct: the longest ride I've managed there is 15 miles. Even a detour to check out the campsite and a new (to me) settlement today only yielded 12.

The sun popped out and the wind eased a smidge so I went and had a blowy pedal. Really nice return leg with the sun and wind on my back.
More of that please.

We were across from there at Bert Baccharacle in the middle of no where. It was beautiful but a bit too isolated for even basics.
