Hi/Hello/Wassuup
I'm a complete newbie/oldie/wannabee/frisbee.
I've been doing nothing at all/riding an mtb/hybrid/unicycle for about a week/month/year, and have decided to get a new/second-hand mtb/hybrid/road bike/cyclodresser.
It needs to be under £300/£500/£700/£1250/£4000, and be good for commuting 4/15/30 miles/going to the pub/audaxes/climbing hills and/or dales.
I've also decided it needs to be steel/aluminium/carbon/titanium/unobtanium and weigh no more than 7kg/10kg/it ought to.
It must have 8/9/10/11 speed Shimano/SRAM/Campagnolo/Volvo gears, and disc/hub/rim/parachute braking. It must/must not be black/white/any other colour.
I've heard of Cannondale, Cube, Specialized, Giant, Decathlon, Marathon, Bianchi, Martini and Sinatra so if you could tell me how good they are, that would be great.
I'm roughly rough/smooth/5'8"/56cm and would like a nice stem with that. My friend has a Golgato, and does timing trials so that would be nice too.
Wheels are very important to me - with tyres - ideally slick/folding/self-folding/cross-ply.
I confirm I haven't searched for any of the things I want using the forum search function. Is Claris better than Mavis? What about frame size? So many things to forget...
Pedals!
Please tell me what to buy!!
Ta/Thanks/Cheers Guys
