Two days on the trot now I have had a p******e in my rear tyre.

My new Continental Force tyre seems to be cursed!
I was wondering how long it takes for you lot to fix a rear wheel puncture?
It takes me about 10 mins, that is just replacing the inner tube and putting the wheel back in.
I had a job getting a small bit of flint that was embedded in the tyre out. May keep a pair of tweezers on me in future.
I expect 10 mins is slow, but I have only had 3 p*******s since returning to cycling last year.

That seems quite fast to me.

10 minutes is pretty good for a PUNCTURE change.

Had a PUNCTURE myself this morning, in the bloody rain and probably took about the same time to sort.

Yep me too this morning, 10 mins is about right to sort it out. There are no prizes for rushing it and trapping the tube between the rim and tyre or not finding the offending article that caused the flat in the first place. Take 10 mins out of the ride and get it sorted out properly so you don't get another flat a mile down the road!

To offset all you morning puncturists, I got one just before sunset this evening. I've no idea how long it took to change it - I just walked till I found a sunlit bench in the grounds of a college and then took it really easily, watching the students go past as the sun set. Sitting on a bench, fiddling with the bike in the dry and feeling the sun's warmth in November as the girls walked by, if that's what getting a puncture is all about, I could happily get them all day long. It was almost a shame to get back on the bike.

If it's dark, wet and freezing cold, or if you're exhausted, 10mins could be an unbeatable time. Time taken can vary a lot.

If you have 2 mins at the end of your ride a quick check of the tyres can mean spotting/removing flints, glass etc before they get a chance to dig through the tyre and cause a problem.
